Its summer, I’m once again [living out of my parents] home. I have some spare time on my hands once again, maybe even a little bit too much spare time. So i’m starting a new spare-time design project, hopefully with the end result of improving my typography layout & design skills, an area into which I have never really put enough time. As all good things do, I will be starting simple, with a few rules to keep me on track. I strongly recommend that anyone wanting to improve their design (or really anything) skills try the same type of framing, as it both encourages regular practice and follows the basic-to-advanced, one-thing-at-a-time gameplan that any class you would take does.
The Rules:
500x500 px, 72 dpi Canvas, using the same gradient background. The base background color may be changed, otherwise everything must stay the same.
Each day I will create a new typographic design using two words; the day of the week, and the typeface used
The typeface is limited to any font starting with the same letter that the day does (eg. Tuesday & Times New Roman)
Type can only be set in Black or White
